Callehan is Tony Trimper often accompanied by a colourful cast of characters. Callehan can be booked as a solo, duo, or band. Want originals? Want covers? We can do either. Maritime music, crowd favorites, original songs of Nova Scotia heritage; basically it’s drinking music! Callehan always engages the crowd in song and story. It is a lively experience.
Tony chose the name Callehan as his band name and music persona to honor his Irish ancestory. Callehan have been local ambassadors of Maritime Music since the 2018 release of the Gourley Shanty Riot. This infamous 1856 Irish riot in Nova Scotia is just one of the tales Callehan has resurrected in songwriting. Callehan’s collaborations include Ashley MacIsaac, Terra Spencer, Christina Martin, and many more.
